this is primarily for theists and I would like to see their reaction before atheists and jump into this discussion.

It is not the 21st century and there are plenty of religious faith is out there who gave their origins to hundreds of years ago. So the question is if a person and came before you had told him that he had met God and had a new revelation for you and told you more about how you should worship God and more about the lifestyle requirements in order to properly worship God, what would you do?

Clearly it would require a decision as one cannot just ignore the demands of God giving man via a new prophet is so a good theorist would have to decide whether this prophet was telling the truth -- and thus believe and accept this new teaching -- or decide that profit was in fact a false prophet and reject this new teaching.

So, accept or reject? Oh, and don't forget to give your reasons too.
