    Default loose morals in evangelicals

When will people learn, a minister in Montreal, who has been awarded by the fed government and others is
nothing more than a con man. He has millions of dollars given to him by people who just could not afford it in the first place. He has just used the really well worn con of religion.

CBC News - Montreal - Montreal pastor pursued by parishioners
" Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? "

It's like people investing in a bank that promises a 300% interest rate. Most of us know that's never going to happen, even though we see the banks and the written promise. There are people that will put everything in that bank, greedy people. I don't see any difference between those followers and the greedy bank investors. They all deserve to loose everything. Kudos to that minister that blindsided those sheep, I don't feel sorry for them one bit, it's their own fault.

CB, I didn't get the impression these people thought they were going to make huge profits on their loans. The article simply implies they loaned the money to help their church. I think there is a lesson here about being too trusting of clergy but I wouldn't say anybody deserved to be fleeced. Any of us can be a victim at one time or another. A con man is a con man is a bottom-feeding scum-ball.

Maybe I misinterpreted what the followers meant by, "All of them say they have never seen promised returns." I only know of one way a person get's a promised return when it comes to giving money to a church, god is supposed to return it, not the pastor or the church. I know they said it was a loan but I think it's easy to mislead people into thinking they are going to get their money back when they believe in god.
