Default Global TV calls Atheists ‘Fanatics’?

I believe Global attempted to take an unbiased approach to advertising in this broadcast, but that the editor did not scrutinize the broadcast as much as he should've; in the same respect as you would see that people fail to scrutinize advertising(Untill it "doesn't sit well" with them) on buses.

To be fair, though and I did watch the broadcast. The only quote calling anything fanatical could easily have been targetted at Lori Patterson.

And finally, someone gets called a fanatic! Darryl says:

“The ads are getting the evil eye from Lori Patterson of Halifax Metro Transit who doesn’t want to see fanatics target her buses.”
If the reporter is misquoting Lori Patterson, I would take it up with her.

The broadcast was actually quite layman in comparison to what I usually see from Global TV, but I've seen a steady decline in the quality versus quantity of news from this news broadcaster over the last four years...They are Canada's version of FOX news as far as credibility goes. Take it with a bit of salt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the two networks are sister networks (in terms of if Global reports a story from the US, they use a FOX affiliate and vice versa). I've personally found CTV to be the best Canadian news network.

The program in question however seemed more pointless than anything else. By now, you're hard pressed to find a Canadian that hasn't heard everything that was in that report already. It brought nothing new to the table, was not overly interesting, and in my opinion would have been better left alone or heavily re-done.

There's a reason why Global's parent company has reported a $33 million Q1 loss and I'm sure programs like this are one of those reasons...
